March 26th, 2011 – Morristown New Jersey
The first game of The Intergalactic Frockey League, held at Mennen Arena between Team Earth and The Spiders From Mars, far exceeded all expectations. Featuring the best combination of skating and disc talent yet assembled at one Frockey event, the two teams battled back and forth over three ten minute periods ending in a tie at 11 points each. A five-minute overtime period saw only one point scored resulting in an exciting victory for The Spiders From Mars.
Stand outs on Team Earth included Andrew Joyce, Lester Rosell, Josh Cicurillo and David Rose. The Spiders From Mars featured returning Frockey veterans Matt Banzhaff, Chad Connor, Rich Steinel and big Ed Arnold-Berkovitz .
Also skating this night were Fred Hoth, Mike Rinaldi, Barry Dobring, Kyle Chambers, Mike Braviak and Ryan Breen. John Kirby, one of the original pioneers of the sport, served as Kahuna (referee). Reg McKenna served as the off ice line judge and operations manager for the event.

Frisbee World Champion Jens Velasquez Joins Frockey Executive Team
October 12th, 2009 · No Comments
I am truly honored to announce that Jens Velasquez, member of the World Frisbee Hall of Fame, has accepted the position of President to the Frockey LLC Board of Advisors. Jens will be playing an integral role in the future development of Frockey, both as a public relations representative and as a technical instructor to the players.
Along with his partner, brother Erwin Velasquez, the pair were winners of multiple Freestyle Frisbee championships, including; 1976 and 1977 Rose Bowl Championship, 1980 Freestyle Players Association Championship, 1982 United States Open Championship and 1985 United States Open Championship for Accuracy.
Originators of “fast freestyle”, Jens and his brother astounded crowds in the 1970s and 1980s with their ground breaking routines, hurling the Frisbee back and forth at a high rate of speed while performing incredibly difficult maneuvers, often incorporating music and dance.
Jens’ accomplishments, vision and love of disc sports make him the perfect partner for Frockey and will, no doubt, be the greatest of assets toward the success and future growth of Frockey as a world class sport.
Welcome, Jens Velasquez.
